I am ever more aware of life's evolution as I see the birth, growth and development of my children over a period of fifty years. So, also, do I see my progress as a potter from earliest years. It has been a never ending striving through experimentation with clay, glazes, forms, textures and firing techniques to achieve yet a newer, fresher and more exciting result. The end is never reached. Always, there is more to learn. What remains basically clear is that the pleasure is in the doing.
